Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team

    As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for accounting for client projects accurately and in a timely manner

    The ideal candidate will have experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, and possess strong analytical skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
    • Generate sales invoices for the North American operations ensuring that all required information is included
    • Become familiar with specific requirements indicated in the Purchase Order or Client agreements to ensure invoicing and revenue recognition is accurate
    • Assist in the preparation of various weekly, monthly and annual reports for Management and the auditors
    • Conduct reconciliations of revenue accounts in the CRM and general ledger and resolve any discrepancies
    • Support the accounting team in month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed

    Qualifications

    • Associates' degree in Accounting or related field preferred
    • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
    • Proficient in using CRM software, such as Salesforce
    • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including revenue recognition and reconciliation of prebilled and unbilled balances
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of GAAP revenue recognition rules is a plus
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently
