Job Title: Food Safety Quality Safety (FSQS) Clerk

Job Summary: The FSQS Clerk will play a critical role in coordinating efforts across various departments, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and continuous improvement of our quality systems. This position involves close collaboration with the HACCP Coordinator, FSQS Supervisors, and members of the operations and engineering departments.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of process data in Excel spreadsheets, including:
- MOR Meeting Preparation
- Raw weights data, Piece Count data, Bag weight data
- Pre-operational SSOP tracking
- Sensory data for weekly cuttings and special projects
- Error management and tracking
- Generate data summaries based on entered information.
- Maintain a consistent supply of production monitoring forms.
- Understand and apply UPS and FedEx packing and shipping requirements for production samples.
- Perform relief duties for FSQS Technicians as needed.
- Prepare Sample Analysis Request Forms (SARFs) and samples for third-party laboratory evaluations.
- Organize and execute weekly sensory activities.
- Assist with routine traceability exercises.
- Ensure audit preparedness through systematic filing and organizational practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Additional qualifications include:
- Business school, Associate’s degree, or equivalent.
- 2 years of in-plant experience
- 2 years of secretarial experience.
- Certification in Basic HACCP through a HACCP Alliance Certified program.
- Annual attendance at food and plant safety trainings.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Critical thinker and self-starter with the ability to evaluate situations based on merit or information provided.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of the entire production process and its relation to HACCP and SSOP requirements.
- Familiarity with facility food safety requirements.
- Capable of analyzing, creating, and communicating production-based reports effectively.
- Teamwork, punctual, dependable, positive attitude, willingness to work in a fast paced environment, ability to work with many personalities, not easily frustrated or moved by distractions or changes, work independently and quick learner.
