Accounting Clerk jobs in Colorado
Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries. Being an Accounting Clerk assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Staffing Now, a division of SNI Companies, has an immediate opening for a Accounting Clerk working with our client in South Denver. This is a position working 100% onsite for a distribution company. The position responsibilities include:- Support daily invoicing for customer orders.
- Aid in processing vendor payments and maintaining accurate accounting spreadsheets.
- Determine payment distributions and handle shipping preparations.
- Assist in managing accounts payable, including receiving invoices and maintaining vendor records.
- Help with various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, expense reports, and maintaining compliance with resale licensing requirements.
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of accounting experience supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and time management.
- Intermediate MS Office experience using Excel and Word.
The compensation for this position starts at $21.00 an hour. Your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience.
