Position Overview:

The Program Coordinator for Logic (Middle) School Academic Support is responsible for hands-on academic support designed to enhance logic school scholars' educational experience and academic performance. This role involves collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to assist with a scholar's needs. The Program Coordinator will ensure that all scholars have access to the resources they need to succeed academically.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Development and Implementation:
  • Design and implement academic support programs tailored to the needs of logic school scholars.
  • Develop curriculum and materials for tutoring, study skills workshops, and enrichment activities.
  • Coordinate with teachers and staff to integrate support programs with existing curricula.
• Student Assessment and Support:
  • Assess scholars' academic needs through data analysis, teacher recommendations, and standardized test scores.
  • Develop individualized support plans for scholars struggling academically.
  • Monitor and track scholars' progress, adjusting support plans as needed.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with teachers to identify scholars requiring additional support.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their child's academic progress and support plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, parents, and school staff to ensure cohesive support.
  • Participate in weekly CARE Team meetings, team collaboration meetings and attend the weekly inclusion meetings. 
• Program Management:
  • Schedule and oversee tutoring sessions, study groups, and other support activities.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise tutors and volunteers.
  • Manage program budget and resources effectively.
• Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and program effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports for school administration and stakeholders on program outcomes.
  • Utilize data to make informed decisions about program improvements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in education or academic support, preferably at the middle school level.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of middle school curriculum and learning strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Certifications: Teaching certification or relevant educational credentials preferred.
• Familiarity with Catholic teachings.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: The Program Coordinator will work primarily within the school setting, with occasional requirements to attend meetings or training sessions outside of school hours.
• Physical Demands: The role may require standing, walking, and moving throughout the school campus.
